It is important for Harris County to elect judges that understand the need for a safe society but also believe in justice. Our courts should be balanced - assuring that victims are heard and that the accused are treated with respect, Justice is not a "one size fits all" concept. Every situation and every person is different. As judge, I will ensure that Criminal Court #10 is not a "revolving door'. I am dedicated to making a difference in our courts by assuring that indigent defendants get excellent representation, deterring crime by developing programs that will help young offenders learn positive lifestyle choices and assuring that mentally-ill defendants get the help they need instead of simply being housed in our jails.
